Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin brought his first ever solo tour, Midnight Dancer, to the the Peacock Theatre in London. This was a mesmerising performance that involved a small and amazing cast who are all talented dancers.
Without uttering a single word, Nikita Kuzmin and the other dancers, (Sophie Baker, Thomas Charles, Lowri Hamilton, Samuel Lake, Charlotte Lee, Zara Liu, Seamus Mcintosh, Daniel Rae and Andreea Toma) told a tale of love so powerful that it transcended language. Every movement, every gesture, and every moment on stage was filled with raw emotion, pulling the audience into a world where love was expressed through dance alone.
The choreography was exquisite, seamlessly blending grace and passion. Each dancer moved with such precision and feeling that it was impossible not to be captivated.
The lighting (by Andrew Exeter) and music (by Ian Masterson) complemented the performance beautifully, enhancing the story’s depth and making the emotions even more tangible.
Nikita Kuzmin didn’t just dance for the audience; Kuzmin danced with the audience—drawing them into the story through glances, gestures, and moments of connection. This level of interaction made the experience even more immersive, as if we weren’t just spectators but participants in something deeply moving.
There was a mix of live singing and backing track. The voice of the live singer (Rebecca Lisewski) was amazing which worked so well! The song choices were amazing too!
It was truly a testament to the power of movement and artistry. There was a showcase of many costumes (by Rachael Ryan) all absolutely stunning!
Nikita Kuzmin's Midnight Dancer is a show not just for Strictly fans, it is a show for everyone. Kuzmin's personal connection and true emotions to the audience was absolutely special.
